School Uniform
Following our Spring 2026 consultation with parents, carers and pupils. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to share their views and feedback, which has been carefully considered in shaping these changes.
As a result of this feedback, we are introducing a more active uniform. This change has been designed to better support our curriculum, including increased opportunities for PE lessons, active learning across the day, and our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) provision. We want all children to be comfortable, active and ready to learn in a wide range of environments.
Importantly, this change will be introduced as a transitional arrangement. Children are still welcome to wear existing uniform, and there is no expectation for families to immediately purchase new items. We hope this will allow families to make the change gradually and at a pace that suits them.
Our updated core uniform (for all year round) is as follows:
Core Uniform (All Year Round)
Bottoms (no branded items)

Plain black joggers

Plain black leggings

Plain black shorts
Plain black skort
Top:

White Polo Shirt
White T-Shirt

Red T-Shirt
Red Polo Shirt
Outerwear (can be with a school logo or generic):
Red jumper
Red cardigan
Red zip-through fleece sports top
Footwear:
Black trainers
Until your child can tie their own shoe laces, we request that they wear Velcro shoes.
Additional Items

Wellies: Required for full access to outdoor play areas

Gloves: Recommended for use with play equipment

Waterproof coat: Essential for outdoor activities
The inclusion of a zip-through fleece sports top offers an additional practical and comfortable option for pupils, particularly for outdoor learning and active sessions.
As our uniform is an active uniform children do not have a separate uniform for P.E. this increases flexibility for parents and also supports reducing the cost of school uniform as additional items are not required. However, we do ask that children do not wear skirts/dresses on their scheduled P.E. days.
We believe this updated uniform will better support children’s wellbeing, comfort and participation throughout the school day
FS1
In Nursery we follow the school active uniform policy, to enable our movement based play daily and allow newly toilet trained children to be independent in their self care.
Nursery children should only wear Velcro shoes; many thanks for your support.
Logoed Uniform Supplier
Our logoed uniform supplier is The Uniform Centre (opposite the Post Office in Morley), however, alternative items of uniform can also be purchased from your local supermarket.
Where possible our PTA will run a uniform swap shop to support parents and our environment. More dates to follow.
